When a spring wedding is planned, an early springtime bridal shower will be forthcoming. Try making one of these unique, elegant spring themed shower favors for guests.

Spring is one of the most popular times of the year for couples to get married. With spirits renewed after a long, dreary winter, weddings are a delight to behold during the spring season. Long before the season of new love begins however, those who need to plan a bridal shower will be thinking about decorations, themes, and favors in advance. Favors are a traditional and thoughtful way to thank guests for attending a bridal shower.

Why Give Wedding Shower Favors?

People are busy. They are often strapped for cash and may have multiple weddings, birthday parties, and other commitments putting demands on their resources. Giving favors at bridal showers will show guests that they are truly appreciated for taking the time to celebrate a very special moment in a woman's life. However small or simply made, shower favors are also a token or memento of the big day.

Seashells and tea parties are two possible ways to celebrate an upcoming springtime wedding. One cannot help but picture spring when presented with beautiful seashell potpourri or tea party favors. Here are the two methods for making these wonderful spring-themed bridal shower gifts for guests.

Seashell Potpourri Favors

Turn your wedding shower into a sandy beach of fun with these beautifully scented seaside favors. Display the seashell potpourri in a flat, large box of glimmering white beach sand!

Ingredients:

  • Scallop seashells
  • Craft netting, pastel colors
  • Hot glue gun or glue in fine-tipped bottle
  • Scissors
  • Thin decorative ribbon
  • Delicately scented potpourri

Method:

  1. Place a scallop shell on the table or workstation, concave side up.
  2. Add a small amount of potpourri to the shell center.
  3. Cut the netting in small shape to fit over the concave side of the seashell.
  4. Glue the netting over the potpourri seashell and let dry.
  5. Cut a small amount of ribbon and tie in a looped bow.
  6. Glue ribbon to the top on potpourri side of seashell.
  7. Repeat steps to make enough seashells for each guest.

Tea Party Favors

What could be better than a lovely wedding shower tea party on a warm and sunny springtime afternoon? Present a variety of teas and beautiful pastries for guests to enjoy alongside the tea party favor display.

Ingredients:

  • Large ceramic white teapot
  • Tiny white tea creamers (as many as there are guests)
  • Small mints, or other candies
  • Craft netting, pastel colors
  • Scissors
  • Thin decorative ribbon
  • Assorted small craft flowers

Method:

  1. Fill the large teapot and all of the creamers with candy.
  2. Cut the netting in pieces large enough to cover each creamer and drape over sides.
  3. Tie pieces of ribbon in bows around the necks of the creamers.
  4. Insert tiny flowers between ribbon and creamers to decorate.

Beaches and tea parties are two spring theme ideas that will be perfect for a spring bridal shower. Whichever idea is chosen, the guests will truly love these favors and will also appreciate the thought that summer is on its way. Both the seashell potpourri and tea party favors will be elegant, budget-friendly, and long-lasting keepsakes for guests to remember a special wedding day.
