It's hard to stay within budge when there are so many beautiful things to include in a wedding. But, you can have your wedding cake and it it too.

Weddings can cost a ton of cash and stress. But a beautiful wedding can be easily accomplished without going into debt. In the previous article, Inexpensive Wedding Ideas, the wedding dress, flowers, decorations and location were explored. Find out other ideas that will complete a money-saving wedding.

Food

It would be nice not to worry about these sorts of things by having the whole thing catered. However, if you are unable to do so, making the food yourself is the next logical choice. Enlist the help of friends and relatives. Delegate the work, giving each person a task. Make it more enticing by accepting the help as your wedding gift.

Drink

Alcohol, if you choose to serve it, can be costly and time consuming. You need to get a liquor license, and then go get the booze. This is a personal choice. If you just want to serve a bit of wine for dinner and toasts, then that’s it. You can also charge a nominal price for alcohol. Guests usually don’t mind paying a small fee for a drink.

Hair and Makeup

These can all be shopped around for. If you can do your own hair and makeup, more power to you. If you have a friend that is handy in that area, see if he or she is willing to lend a hand on that special day.

Tuxes

There are lots of tux stores vying for your business. Shop around. Or the guys can wear a nice suit. No one really looks at the groom anyway.

The Wedding Cake

The Wedding Cake is almost as important as The Wedding Dress. As pretty as the four-tiered cake looks, you can get a large slab cake that’s decorated tastefully to your specifications, snap a few pictures, cut it up and serve it. Nothing wasted. And, the best part is you can easily make the cake, or a friend can make it, or a loved one… you get the picture.

Pictures

Pictures and video can be costly. Something that might eat up your wedding budget. If this is extremely important to you, then search out a photographer that will do a good job at a decent price. If the pictures are something you can compromise on, then see about having a friend or family member take them for you.

Finally, Write a List

If you haven’t already, write out a list of wedding "gotta have it", "like to have it", and "don’t really need it". This will help flesh out the things that you want to cut costs on or eliminate altogether. With an open mind and a little discipline, you will have a wedding that is both memorable and personal.
