Engaged couples don't have to be the creative types or don't need to hire a professional to have a unique wedding. They just need to consider three questions.
There’s something about a love story that’s always unique to a couple. The couple just needs to ask: “What’s special about our love story?” It could be that they met in a unique way: they bumped into each other after a long time, they were introduced by their good friend, or they happened to be seated beside each other on a long international flight. It might be that a couple’s love story sounds similar to another love story but they have to remember that uniqueness is in the details. They can then sprinkle these little details into the ceremony and reception: a favorite date dish in the buffet, favorite vacation spots for each table, a special conch shell topping the wedding cup cake stand or even a special favorite flower in the bride’s bouquet. What Are Your Friends and Family Like? Not surprisingly, a couple’s friends and family shape the kind of celebration they will have on their wedding day. Are they reserved or a big, noisy clan? Is the bride’s side one way and the groom’s side the other way? Would they enjoy a boisterous buffet or a quiet sit-down dinner? Would they wake up to a rousing breakfast reception or do you see them dancing the night (and wee hours of the morning) away? Whatever the couple decides in this area will determine the reception look and feel up to the seating. They shouldn’t be pressured by friends and family, rather, they should consider what kind of celebration would add to the couple’s happiness. What Inspires You And Makes You Happy? Before the couple chooses a stylish theme or the latest chic color swatches, they should consider what inspires them. What colors and images bring them happiness? Instead of picking an elegant plum, it might be that the sight of bread baskets and daisies make both the bride and groom smile from ear to ear. What are their favorite colors and favorite things? Maybe the latest dress designs wouldn’t mean as much as a grandmother’s original wedding gown. Maybe a color coordinated entourage in champagne wouldn’t mean as much to the bride as having her bridesmaids decked out in their favorite spring colors. A unique wedding celebration doesn’t necessarily mean it’s expensive, it could be unforgettable because of some special details that the engaged couple incorporate into their ceremony and reception. They could start with their own unique love story. Then they could imagine the kind of celebration that their family and friends would appreciate without being pressured to spend too much. And lastly, they should consider what inspires them.
