Use Resources to Help Lower Anxiety

Planning a wedding can be an extremely difficult undertaking, but breathe easy. There are strategies anyone can use to make it a stress-free wedding

Here are five ways to lower wedding-planning anxiety and arrange a stress-free wedding.

Assign Duties

Hiring a wedding planner, for example, is one easy way to delegate responsibility and have a stress-free wedding. Planning a wedding is definitely not the time to go it alone. Wedding consultants are paid professionals whose job it is to absorb the stress and angst associated with a wedding by having duties assigned to them. The other advantage they provide is that they are familiar with the venues, have relationships with vendors, and know how to work out deals that can help save money. Bridal consultants can find vendors at a range of prices, and sometimes they'll negotiate on their own services too.

Make Decisions Early

Whether choosing to hire a planner or not, try to make as many of the major decisions surrounding the wedding as early as possible. It will help save on expenses and ease the stress. Some things to get out of the way first include: choosing a dress, booking the ceremony and reception venues, choosing the invitations, and compiling the guest list. Nothing worse than not having enough time to make the necessary alterations on a dress or finding out that a favorite venue is booked. In this case, the early bird really does get the worm.

Don't Try To Please Everybody

If the bride tries to make everyone happy, no one will be happy, including her. While every family member and friend will try to elicit their opinions, there is only one bride and only one groom. They should do what is going to make them happy. They will be the ones looking at the photos for years to come.

Hire A Hairstylist

The day of the wedding, when tensions are sure to mount, one should really avoid as much stress as possible. A hairstylist allows a bride to sit back and relax, knowing that she'll be looking like a million bucks for her big moment. Hiring a makeup artist would serve the same purpose, but if one is trying to cut back on expenses, wake up early and make a visit to a makeup counter at the nearest shopping mall. They will usually do makeup for free, or with a required minimum purchase. Since a bad hair day can put most ladies in a tizzy, might as well put a hairstylist in the budget.

Live One's Dreams

There are many brides who seem to have regrets when their wedding is over. Maybe they weren't organized enough, or maybe they would have chosen a different dress if they had it to do over again. Besides things that are out of one's control, like a flower girl who is too shy to walk down the aisle or a candle that won't light, all one can do is appreciate what went right. Put things in perspective. The most important thing is that one marries the person they love, so enjoy the day. It is the most important day of anyone's life. Live it up.
